Rooted at Kilim Jetty since 2014 — the gateway to Kilim Karst Geoforest Park
FBO Langkawi Enterprise was founded in 2014 with one simple idea: the best way to truly experience Langkawi is with someone who has lived here their whole life. We are based at Kilim Jetty — the main departure point for the UNESCO-listed Kilim Karst Geoforest Park — and we've spent over a decade showing travellers from around the world why this corner of Malaysia is so extraordinary.
We are a people-first operation. Our guides grew up fishing and boating in these waters. Our captains know every channel, every cave entrance, every spot where the eagles like to feed. We don't follow a script — we share our home.
Over the years we've guided thousands of guests: honeymooners, backpackers, family reunions, school groups, solo travellers. Each one gets the same care and attention. We take pride in that.
Every tour is built around the natural wonders of Kilim Karst — and the people who know it best.
The Brahminy kite eagle is Langkawi's symbol — and feeding them at open sea is the highlight of every mangrove tour. Our guides know exactly where and when to find them, and watching them dive for fish never gets old.
We navigate the ancient mangrove channels of Kilim Karst, past towering limestone karst formations and through one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in Southeast Asia. Hornbills, kingfishers, monitor lizards — every trip brings something new.
From the freshwater Pregnant Maiden Lake on Dayang Bunting island to the powder-white sand of Beras Basah, our island hopping tours show you the best of Langkawi's 99 islands at a relaxed, unhurried pace.
Our covered boats are stable and comfortable. Life jackets are provided and worn by every guest on open water — no exceptions. Our captains are licensed and experienced. In over a decade of operation, we've maintained a perfect safety record.
Since 2014, we've guided more than 5,000 guests through the waters of Kilim Karst. That experience means we know where the eagles are, when the tides are right, and how to make every tour genuinely special — not just adequate.
We are from Langkawi. This is not a job for us — it is our home. Our guides share stories, history, and local knowledge that no guidebook or app can replicate. You won't get this depth from a larger, impersonal tour company.
Every boat is covered and equipped with life jackets for all passengers. Our captains are government-licensed and we monitor weather conditions closely — we will reschedule tours rather than operate in unsafe conditions.
We've had guests from more than 40 countries step onto our boats. Families with young children. Couples on their honeymoon. Solo travellers who found us through a recommendation. Groups celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.
What they all have in common: they came curious, and they left with memories they still talk about. The eagle moment. The bats. The silence inside the cave. The kids screaming with joy at the fish farm. These are the things we live for.
We ask every guest to treat the environment with respect — don't touch the wildlife, don't drop litter, leave the mangroves as you found them. This place has been here for millions of years. We want it to be here for millions more.
